This fly control system attracts horse flies, deer flies, greenheads, and yellow-flies. When set up in the sun, the black ball absorbs and emits heat which mimics an ideal target (large animal) for  female horse flies. Once on the ball, the flies attempt to bit and when not successful, they fly up into the funnel and into the collection bin where they are unable to escape.
 
Tips for Most Success:
To maximise interception, place the trap in the most likely path of the flies from damp areas to where the animals or people often congregate
Position the traps closer to areas of congregation such as gates or stable areas
Place the traps early in the season (April/May), just before the first flies emerge
Check traps weekly to empty them
